With two publications on December 16, Infarmed informs the public about measures taken in support of the new Portaria published by the Agency in October of this year. The normative in question is n\u00b0 391\/2019.<\/p>\n

INFARMED has demonstrated to be integrated with the economic evaluation system made by EUnetHA at european level and SiNATS at national level (Portugal). With the publication of Portarias and Despachos, the Agency helps the National Health System to improve its performance by collaborating with effective financing of medicines and medical devices, since it depends of the demonstration of the therapeutic value or therapeutic equivalence and its economic advantage.<\/p>\n

It is becoming increasingly necessary to constantly update new economic methodologies, because after the creation of the EUnetHA and SiNATS groups, a more detailed analysis of other countries data can be made in the economic perspective of helth care.<\/p>\n

It is also noted that with an well done economic evaluation of health technologies, Portugal obtains the approval of technologies at an earlier stage of their development.<\/p>\n
